Getting Started with FrontPage 2000

Step One:
Open Microsoft Frontpage on your computer by clicking Start->Programs->Microsoft Frontpage

Step Two:
Once FrontPage launches you can open your FrontPage web by clicking on File->Open Web

You will be presented with the "Open Web" dialogue box below. Enter "http://www2.datasync.com/" followed by your username in the "Folder name" selection box. Virtual domains will enter just the name of the domain, ie "http://www.somedomain.com". Click "Open". when you are done. NOTE: The http:// protocol is required to open a remote site. Lacking this information, FrontPage will attempt to open a local web.

We will use the user "jqpublic" as an example.

Step Three:
After Clicking "OK" you will be prompted to enter your username and password. Without this you WILL NOT be able to access your web.

*If you receive an "NTLM: authentication" error, please see the NTLM help page.

Step Four:
If this is your first time to open your web, you will be presented with the "Open Web" dialogue box again indicating the remote site. Click "Open" to continue.

Step Five:
Once the web completes loading you will be able to add content to your web.
