COMMENTS:
#1 BS7 SCARBOROUGH
Uninhabitable rocks in South China Sea that is located in DISPUTED area..
Many DXers think that it should have never been added to the DXCC List, like
the infamous "Baldwin's Reef".. Not enough room to put up anything but
a
vertical or small yagi (at best) and not enough room to operate RTTY....
Probably be a LONG time on this one
#2 VU7 LAKSHADWEEP
On NOW.. and another competent group going in January.. Many are now
reporting working with 100 watts. Get this one for SURE while it IS
available.
#3 P5 NORTH KOREA
As you know, a BAD political situation .. Marti went there, got permission
on a "cocktail napkin" worked many of his buddies (SEE N7NG).. and
then the
Russian was there for an extended time. May be a long time in coming
around
again.
#4 3Y/P PETER I
MAJOR effort in January and February of this year.. should fall WAY DOWN
LIST for next year
#5 7O YEMEN
Last operation from there was in 2002 .. Call was 7O/OH2YY.. was accepted
for DXCC. AMAZING after the German group was there in 2000 (with 7O1YGF
callsign) and
about 50K contacts..and was NOT acceptable.. The Germans made the comment ..
It was not blessed by YOU KNOW WHO! Also another BAD political situation..
#6 KP1 NAVASSA
There were some RICH Texans (I think) that were making major strides to go
to both KP1 and KP5, but after the KP5 operation by K3LP and N3KS, it seems
to have gotten very quiet about either of these..
VERY EASY to work when someone is there..US Political problems with letting
someone go on these islands.. OUR MEMBER, Charlie, WD5BJT was on from KP5 in
years past!
#7 KP5 DESECHEO
Last operation was KP5/N3KS and KP5/K3LP who were there in Dec of 2005. They
showed up UNANNOUNCED (remember when most Dxpeditions were like that?) and
made a large number of QSOs.. (See KP1 above)
#8 3Y/B BOUVET
Last operation from here was in 2001 by Chuck,N4BQW, (the former US
Astronaut that is now SK) and
although he worked many stations.. there is still much demand for Bouvet..
It is very similar to Peter One and Heard Island as for the weather! COLD
COLD COLD
#9 FR/G GLORIOSO
Last operation I KNOW OF, was in May of 2000.. FR5ZQ/G (who use to service
the island)
There is a French group that is trying to go there soon.. They were to go
there in Fall of 2006, but now are trying to go there in Spring of 2007..
Seems like political situation also...

#10 VU4 ANDAMAN
WILL Fall off a great deal due to the efforts of VU4RBI and VU4RNO in
December of 2004
