Season's Greetings to all MDXA members and from my family to yours, we wish you a happy Holiday Season and hope that you find many "new ones" for your log book in the coming months. This year also we welcomed N5WI to the Stone Co. branch of the MDXA and hope he and Sue find "country living" as pleasant as George, Sandy, Sherry and I have found it to be. We have had great success with our club callsign in the contests. We usually score very well in all the contests that we have entered. Thanks to Ray, WQ5L, for being the "main man" at the contest site! A special thanks to Randy, W5UE, for taking over the MDXA Web Page. It is terrific! This year we have added many new members to our fine club and hope that all you "old timers" will welcome them. They all have been a very positive addition to our group. They show up at all the tower projects ready and willing! Thanks also to Dave, KB5DZJ, without whom some of us would not have much in the way of antennas. Thanks also to Gary, W5FI, for the great Internet connection that allows us to get all the great DX spots on the MDXA node. This year 17 of us enjoyed the fine time in New Orleans at the New Orleans International DX Convention. That is a great DX show and hope next year our attendance from membership will be even greater. Our club has several members who have developed serious medical problems this past year. I hope we all will keep them in our prayers. We wish them all a full and speedy recovery. This year we also have had some more MDXA members make the DXCC Honor Roll. That is a life time achievement award and a great honor. Congratulations to all who made it! With the rise in Solar Flux it appears the good days of DXing are again here. Enjoy the high numbers and great propagation. I hope that you find many many new ones in your log book this year! -73-
