Comments About v.90 Configuration

The way I got this to work best is to remove the modem and redetect it. Place two commas after your number. The modem now connects at a solid 49,333 bps every time. I think the key was to redetect the modem after the upgrade that way all of the old data was gone and replaced with a new configuration.

Note that Rockwell V.90 probably will not work with Lucent V.90 at this time. Rockwell decided not to do interoperability testing.
And most Rockwell modems when upgraded to V.90 LOSE K56flex. Therefore the only thing less for them is V.34.

>From Zoom Support:
>Try using one of the following strings;
>at+ms=56 for k56flex
>or
>at+ms=56,1,44000,56000 for k56flex

Per Diamond tech support (pc56k@diamondmm.com) this set of AT commands will force a Supra V.90 modem (Rockwell chipset) into K56flex mode:

Under Start/settings/control panel/modem/properties/connection/advanced :

Add one of these to the extra settings (init string) :

AT&FS95=1+MS=12,0
AT&FS95=1+MS=K56,0
AT&FS95=1+MS=11,1

The first one is what worked best for me.
