Music Projects
What do you get when you take three far from ordinary schoolteachers,
add an overflowing mix of talent, energy, and excitement and bake it up in the
Low-country style? CLASS DISTINCTION. Specializing in the music
of the 1940's with all the doo-bee-doo-wap and la-de-da that goes along with the
era. Their blast from the past is far more than just a re-run of oldies though.
CLASS DISTINCTION prides itself on the close harmonies, modern
unstrumentation and New Orleans Jazz influence in their blues, country, and gospel
and rock n' roll renditions.
With three recording projects to their credit, CLASS DISTINCTION is a natural
for tourism or conference related functions.
What others are saying about CLASS DISTINCTION
Class Distinction is truly a Class act!
I first worked with Sandra, Connie and Mary - in the 80's when
they wowed the crowds at the Mississippi Pavilion at the '84 World's
Fair in New Orleans. They were so good Pete Fountain production Company
even recruited them to perfom in his club!
It's 2004, they're back together again and the sound and
rythym could not be better.
Recently, I booked them for my mother's 70th birthday party.
To say we had a blast is nothing short of a grave understatement.
The best thing is, they appeal to all age groups for any
occasion from 15-80. We were all dancing and singing to the best tunes
from the 20's through the present.
I knew the group was a hit when a second line broke out and my
mother was paraded through the party lifted in the air in a chair. True
Story.
And this is no joke, when I pick up my girls at school each day
they ask 'Mama can we listen to Miss Connie's group sing?' They love the
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B. and so will you. Book'em. Your
guests will be glad you did.
