Richard Bouchard, originally from Waterville, Maine and Cynthia (née Cyr) Bouchard, originally from Van Buren, Maine, the gateway to the St. John Valley, lived from 1990 to 2000, in Long Beach, Mississippi, which is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They returned to Long Beach in 2001. Richard retired from the United States Navy in 1996. He holds a Master of Science degree in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a member of the American Legion, The Retired Officers Association, and the Naval Weather Service Association. Cynthia holds a Master of Library Science degree from San Jose State University and was the hospital librarian at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport. She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), the Medical Library Association (MLA), and the Academy of Health Information Professionals. She played on a Maine state high school championship team. Cerise Bouchard was graduated from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. She is a member of the Beta Zeta chapter of the Delta Delta Delta fraternity and the American Legion Auxiliary. Cerise now the owner of Mother Nurture, a breastfeeding and natural parenting shop in Lexington Kentucky. Mireille Bouchard was graduated from St. John's High School. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is a published poet and a member of the Southern Poetry Association. Maia Bouchard was a grade-school student at Saint Thomas Elementary School in Long Beach, MS and now attends St. John's Junior High in Gulfport, MS and plays on the 7th-grade basketball team. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She studied Shotokan karate under Dr. Rodney Fisher and holds a junior black belt. The Bouchards are members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church of Long Beach, MS. |
