Throttle bodies required widening the engine compartment 2" on each side. Extra coolers moved the firewall back 2 additional inches. Be Prepared.
Tight fit requiring relocation of coil and modification of compressor mount to clear throttle linkage.
Tight squeeze to distributor.
Heater tube adapter had to be made to clear compressor.
5/8" cut off back and added to front. Use inner slot of compressor pulley. Perfect lineup and clears throttle body linkage. This may also apply to dual carb linkage with this A/C system.
Firewall with External oil cooler (left) and Secondary Evaporator for A/C (right). Required moving firewall 2" to clear doghouse. 2/21/02: Oil cooler on left had to be removed from firewall. Two inch move of firewall still did not provide enough clearance to the doghouse. More on that later...
Air Cleaners just make it. A/C compressor is removed at this point to ease engine and component fitting.
Cooler fittings looped during fitting.
Required to clear CB throttle bodies and possibly other dual-carb setups. See A/C section for closeup of adapter.
Breather fitting really tightens things up
Now to attach FI harness and other wiring. Then on to the A/C.
