Biography
of James E. Corley

Jim and Nancy

Ho Ho Ho
I am a retired engineer, living in Lucedale, MS, my hometown. I lived and worked in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia for many years for Saudi Aramco, the Saudi oil company. Although I received a graduate degree as a Mechanical Engineer from Mississippi State University, I have been interested in many forms of art. I started with watercolors in high school and then went to oil painting. After seeing an exhibit of Etruscan gold work in a Berlin museum, I branched out to gold sculptures and then to wood carving. My professional credentials can be found on my resume.

Below is a picture of my family taken at the occasion of our daughter Becky's wedding to Paulo. Those who know us can appreciate how truly remarkable this group portrait is. Our children shown here represent the best of three families. They melded into a cohesive whole that still amazes me and I am very proud of them all. Not only do they come from three different families, they represent, with their spouses, three very diverse cultures and nationalities. My wife, Nancy and I have been very blessed.
