About Us
(No matter whether you are from small town America or the largest megalopolis, we can make a web page or any other information and instructional media for you!)
- Who are we? We are a group of dedicated professionals who understand and rely on our expertise to deliver your important messages to others, whether it be friends, business associates, and customers. The majority of our diverse staff is comprised of technologically advanced educators, some currently in the field of education and some who have retired. For years and years, we've been successfully delivering information and instruction to students and adults of all ages. We use our experience, training, and expertise in designing effective and efficient information and instructional products.
- RFD, Star Route 6, LP, is administered by our information and instructional design and development expert, Dr. Douglas Belk.
- RFD, Star Route 6, LP, is managed by Mrs. Ginger Lee, a creative and experienced genius when it comes to putting the necessary content and careful finishing touches to any product we deliver. Mrs. Lee is also the administrator of our Web Design and Publishing Group.
- RFD, Star Route 6, LP. is also composed of a cadre of experienced and skillful graphics artists, typists/transcriptionists, digital and regular photographers, graphic layout specialists, code (Java, CGI/Perl, CSS, and other browser code) creators and editors, and trainers for any type of basic software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, paint, or draw) for which you company may need expert training.
- How did we come to be? The name, RFD, Star Route 6, was derived from the experiences of our company's administrator, Dr. Belk, and our manager, Mrs. Lee. As a young boy (he's not that old!), Dr. Belk used to write letters to his maternal grandmother and grandfather who lived in the rural area of West Point, MS, near the "big" town of Columbus, MS. The grandparents address--well before zip code was even conceived--was RFD (Rural Federal Delivery), Route 6. The Star in our name was inserted as Mrs. Lee is a great fan of Gulf Coast beaches. Her beach combing years produced her favorite collectible item: starfishes. Thus, our company's derived name. After a number of years developing web pages and sites for schools, churches, businesses, and personal pages and other information and instructional media, it was only natural that Dr. Belk and Mrs. Lee create a business -- actually a paid hobby -- for themselves.
