Hon. Nancy Pelosi,
United States House of Representatives
Washington, DC

Dear Mrs. Pelosi,

Please accept the enclosed Fonda award, on behalf of the United States House of Representatives, for aiding and abetting the enemies of the United States.

This award is being presented to your House of Congress for, among other things, your reprehensible non-binding condemnation of the War in Iraq. This is clearly an attempt to disclaim your complicity in this disaster while at the same time failing to discharge your sacred responsibility to do anything about it. Fortunately, the Senate, under the chairmanship of the Vice President, has more sense.

You should certainly know that it is the function of the United States Congress to pass laws, not nonbinding resolutions. Since the Democrats have taken control of Congress, they have continued to verify their determination dishonorably to weasel out of their accountability in this regard, and their addiction to catering to special interests, even for emergency wartime spending.

By its actions, the House of Representatives has demonstrated once again to our enemies that they can continue to kill and maim our military personnel and their own neighbors, secure in the belief that in less than two years our forces will simply leave. When this war is lost, the lives of all the brave service men and women who died to win it will be on your bloody hands.

It has also demonstrated the wisdom of our Founding Fathers in allowing Congress to declare war, but giving the President the authority to fight it. Today's Congress is clearly incompetent to do anything long-term.

Those of us whose sacrifice she betrayed by giving moral support to our North Vietnamese enemies will forever despise "Hanoi Jane." History has yet to judge "Baghdad Nan!"

  Sincerely,

John Lindorfer
